We’ve all learned how important it is to be careful how we direct our personal Christian stewardship -- and rightly so.
The
leadership of the Holy Spirit is so important in making the decision --
who to help and in what way?
Smaller ministries have great challenges to overcome in getting a
broadcast ministry started and then reaching a point where it is able
to secure airtime on appropriate stations. Few small ministries have
support from foundations or access to those able to assist in a large
way. This ministry fits that description.
Overcoming challenges occurs only through the prayer support and modest
gifts of friends who already know the ministry and, hopefully a growing
group of listeners and Internet visitors who come to trust the ministry
and are led by the Holy Spirit to participate with their Christian
stewardship. It’s our prayer that we might gain your trust as you are
encouraged and strengthened by the Bible teaching of the Gannetts.
We, here at Gannett Ministries practice principles of biblical
stewardship in receiving and using funds that are received from those
who believe in the purpose and mission to which we have been called.
Any and all gifts are received with reverence and appreciation. It’s
our desire anytime personal support is made to this ministry that it be
done only after the donor’s commitment to their local church has come
first.

Some basic principles from the New Testament to guide individuals in their giving
1. The purpose of our giving is to satisfy the needs of others
so that God will be worshipped and glorified. (II Cor 9:10-14)
2. Give is to be voluntary and systematic. This helps us avoid
covetousness and impulsive giving. (I Cor. 16:1, II Cor. 9:5)
3. Give with cheerfulness and joy, not under any kind of compulsion by another. (II Cor 9:7)
4. Give Sacrificially. [Not equal gifts but equal sacrifice.] (II Cor. 8:1-11)
5. We are instructed to give as we have been prospered by God.
Grace giving is when we honor the Lord with a gift and the amount is a
private matter betwehe giver and the Lord.
