The second is God’s Word that Jesus said will never pass away. The goal for the Christian is to work to combine these two eternals by helping people know the Word of God. This combination has worked for over 2000 years since Paul wrote these words. The message Christ gave to Paul was passed on to Timothy who trained reliable leaders who taught others until the message of God’s grace came to you and me over all these generations.
