The Dream
The Lord designed believers to be salt and light in their sphere of influence. If each of us takes on this responsibility, the results would be exponential. Gannett Ministries seeks to participate in this God-sized dream by providing resources, tools and coaching to release the empowerment of God’s people.
We have discovered that people want to serve the Lord but may not feel knowledgeable, equipped or adequate. With some tools in their hands and words of encouragement, our prayer is that they will feel the wind of God’s Spirit at their backs as they seek to make a difference in the lives of those they know and love.
Partnership
In 1985 Alden and Georgetta Gannett established Gannett Ministries to equip people for ministry. This flowed naturally from his career as a professor at Dallas Theological Seminary and president at Bible Colleges in Canada and Alabama. Later, a partnership was forged with The Gannett Leadership Center in Canada that was established by his son, Ron. These two ministries work hand in hand to share resources and ministry and sponsor this website together.
Leadership
Ron Gannett serves as our President and enjoys a rich history in ministry. He graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Masters in Theology and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School with a Doctor of Ministry. In 1994 he was awarded the honorary Doctor of Divinity from Briercrest Seminary. He served in pastoral roles for over forty years and taught in two Christian colleges.
His dear wife, Susie, has used her gift of teaching women in the churches where they served and has joined him in travels throughout North America and the world training and mentoring people in ministry.
Currently, Ron serves as Special Assistant to the President at Dallas Seminary connecting with alumni and serves Community Church at SaddleBrooke in Arizona as one of three team pastors. The Gannett’s travel extensively dividing their time between Alabama, Canada and Arizona, serving God’s people.
